Numbing cream

1. Wash the area thoroughly with soap, making sure the skin is cleansed of any moisturiser or paraben.
2. Remove any excess hair by lightly shaving.
3. Make sure the area is completely clean, dry and warm.
4. Spread a thick layer of your numbing cream over the area to be worked on. Do not rub it in.
5. Cover it with cling film, making sure it is secure and as airtight as possible (not too tight).
6. Wash your hands thoroughly after the application.
7. Leave the cream on for at least 1.5 to 2 hours before your session (not more than 2 hours).
8. Remove the film and wipe the area clean with a dry paper towel.
9. Leave it for 5 to 10 minutes for the skin to breathe. This helps the process.

Your artist will clean off any residue for you before starting the tattoo.

We recommend using masking tape or micropore tape to hold the cling film in position. It will also prevent loss of product whilst the cream absorbs into the skin.
